Meet Mo: AVAILABLE
Meet Mo! Before coming into our care, Mo was rescued from a hoarding situation where over 650 animals were removed from a Papillion home. Transitioning from such a noisy, overcrowded environment to a quiet, solitary home proved difficult for Mo. The sudden change left Mo feeling unsettled, and Mo’s previous owner soon realized that a home with other birds would be better suited for this sociable parrot.
As soon as Mo arrived in foster care, the transformation was remarkable. Mo’s personality blossomed! Joy returned as Mo began to play with toys, forage, and eat well, becoming a happier, more fulfilled bird. Mo thrives in the presence of other birds and has adapted beautifully to sharing a flight cage with them.
Mo is a sweet parrot, though some patience is needed to help with basic skills like stepping up. With time and gentle encouragement, Mo is sure to open up and thrive even more. It’s important that Mo’s new home includes other birds, as this social interaction is key to Mo’s well-being.

Meet Zazu: AVAILABLE
Zazu is a 27-year-old Blue and Gold Macaw. He came to us with his sister, Candy. After their human dad passed away, they were left alone. From the condition of his feathers and the terrible state of his cage, it was clear that both Zazu and Candy had been unintentionally neglected for quite some time. Zazu had several pressing medical issues: an overgrown beak that was infected, a crop issue, and poor feather condition. He needed immediate care. Despite everything, Zazu is a sweet boy, although he shows a slight preference for men. While his initial reaction to women is to lunge, with a few soft words and slow movements, he will happily step up. He also loves head scratches.
After a long list of medical tests, Zazu was cleared to go up for adoption. His beak is slowly improving, but it will take time to grow out and be totally back to normal. He does have slight cataracts but it does not seem to affect him. He is a happy boy who loves head scratches to interact with people by dancing and calling out for mama, and papa!

Meet Charlie: AVAILABLE
Charlie, along with Kushy and Chi Chi, came from a loving home. Due to personal circumstances their family needs to rehome them. Though being adopted together would give them the least amount of upheavel, they do not need to be adopted together. They are hand shy, and will need someone with patience to help them get used to stepping up and interacting on a personal level with their new people. They did come from a house with dogs so they are used to the sounds of dogs and some commotion. They all have the sweetest little chirping voices.
